Thanks Norm!! That's what I want. Never thought of attaching the burner directly to the disc....hhmmm.
I have a turkey fryer burner that I extended the legs to make it ~30" tall...I don't like to crouch or bend over while cooking :-)
I also added 3 tabs that stand ~ 1 1/2" tall around the cirumfrence of the burner that the disc will sit on.
Both of the above mentioned mods were done to the burner to make beer brewing easier...it just so happens that they will also make cooking on the "disco" easier as well. I love it when a plan comes together.
The spring type handles are a GREAT idea. Down here most folks attach horse shoes for handles....they also get 3rd degree burns while trying to move the darn thing when they forget about heat transfer :-)
