We need an easily available, current production, creeper-gear low, overdriven top-gear tranny, which sorta sounds like an NV4500, which is too long in 2WD form.
I wonder if it would still be too long if some enterprising person were to design and cast a replacement rear housing with a very short tailhousing, like the 2WD version of the ZF 5-spd. used in the '91 Ford F-350 and Super Duty?
