A capstan winch is about the coolest thing going for moving stuff around your property.
Much faster than horsing around with a regular winch & much easier & safer if you're winching by yourself.
I thought about casting the thimbles...I would if someone sent me an original. The longer shaft, pillow block & bumper modifications would all be easy to build.
I think they're extra cool.
