So much for trying to enjoy a stress-free couple of weeks off. Well maybe I was better off being away from the internet.

Anyway

On deleting messages - I don't think anyone would appreciate having their name bantered about in a public forum, which is why I try to delete the posts that are disparaging to individuals, or companies.

On Prices - I can tell you, that people have told me, that just having this site on the Internet, has drawn more attention to the Power Wagon, and made the truck more desirable to own, thus driving up the cost of trucks and parts. Now that seems like pretzel logic to me, I can say honestly that wasn't the first thought that popped into my mind when I started this site. In these cases, I try to rationalize by asking "does the good outweigh the bad"? How much has the site done to help out the Power Wagon owner? If I thought this site was hurting the hobby, I'd shut it down in a heartbeat. But I also don't depend on this site to keep my family fed. If I had to run it as a business, and my only source of income, you can bet that it would be run differently. You can't always get something for nothing. Thanks to those who buy from the amazon.com link on the books page, it really does help.

On questionable topics - If someone wants to have a discussion about supply and demand, be my guest - but do it without hammering someone. There has been some really good discussion lately about producing repro parts, those are the discussions that help the hobby. Disparaging the people who have a stake in this game will only erode what we have all done to get where we are today.

On JASON - I'll be happy to discuss any of this, when the phantom menace e-mails me directly

Regards,
Joe
