Joe, There's no way that having adequate information about buying, restoring, selling, and enjoying Power Wagons can hurt anyone. When I started and only knew Hemmings as a source, I paid way too much for a '55 PW. The seller was a major old car dealer. On his assurance that the truck was 90% rust free, I sent him a check. I drove from TX to SC to get it. It was on the way home that the bondo started falling off. Like an Arkansas grand jury, I misunderstood the seller's statements. Yes the truck was 90% rust free. It was 90% bondo and bondo does not rust. Now I count on the knowledge or opinions of folks on the Forum and related links and in Power Wagon Advertiser and Military Vehicle for lots of information on prices, trouble shooting, and Power Wagon events.
