I think most of understand and share the frustration Joe feels
with the recent foolish posts.
If Jason wanted to destroy the forum with his silly posts and this causes the
loss of a valuable contributor like Dave (dc) then Jason has won
and the rest of us have lost.
Those recent posts were foolish and needlessly peppered with cusswords
but the opinions, close as they may be to the fringe, were not so
offensive as to require drastic measures. The occasional heated debate
has brought a few chuckles (to me anyhow) and some interesting ideas and viewpoints,
along with plenty of nonsense.
I would have thought that we could rise above it and go on enjoying the hobby.
If it were up to me, I would leave it alone. I think the thing is self-correcting. Given a little time,
people get over the initial fascination with carping and negativism.
