Dana, I just bought a 52 M37 that has a 1956 DeSoto hemi in it. The man who put it in set the engine a little to the left to clear ther differential. He also modified the flat 6 bellhousing to fit the hemi and mounted the starter on the right side to clear the pto shaft. He knew what he was doing because it works fine. Just to test the winch (a Garwood deuce winch) I put the truck in reverse with the winch in gear. Its kinda funny to see the truck sliding forward with the tires spinning backwards. Just don't have the power to do that with my 230.
