My opinion is that there isn't a new 3/4 or 1 ton truck I'd buy with a gas engine in it so if I'm going to invest hundreds of hours & thousands of dollars into a vintage Power Wagon, why would I install an inferior car engine when there are many excellent diesels that'll fit in perfectly?
I can assure you that if you want to get the tires spinning in the mud that there are plenty of options available to make a Cummins 4BT spin the tires just as fast as you want them to spin!
