I did not get a chance to respond to this thread on the previous forum. I was kind of confused as to what was menat by "black knobs". I am not all that familiar with the later trucks, but now I see what was meant by looking at the photo. The later knobs were apparently like those that were on my '62 W100 and '64 W200.
I believe there is one more knob to add to the list: the WDX and early B-series knobs. I believe these were slightly smaller in diameter than the one pictured in the photo. I will have to compare the knobs between my '47 and '51. I am not 100% sure that the dash knobs on the '51 are larger, but I know for a fact that the knobs for the heater and defroster controls for a model 61 heater are larger than the dash knobs on my '47, and I believe these may reflect an across the board increase in size for dash knobs sometime early in the B-series of trucks. Other than that, thay look about the same. I will see if I can find a difference between the dash knobs on the two trucks and others I may have laying around.
