Eric B on the last forum asked about early vs later switch knobs. Pictured on the left is an early type knob and on the right is the later type. The question is would it be safe to assume that the early knobs are all 6-volt and the later type are 12-volt?
To recap Eric's post there appear to be 3 different headlamp switches used in the years 1947-59:
Early 6-Volt, WDX through C3-PW (1947-1956): 1260 727
12-Volt, C3-PW (1955-56): 1660 525
Later 12-Volt (1957-59): 1665 048

Can anyone confirm these observations?

I'm also still looking for more serial numbers from the 1955-56 model years of the C3-PW and C4-PW trucks. If you have a C3-PW or C4-PW and would like to contribute, please send me your name, year, model, serial number, and features such as 6,12 volt, bed type, trans type, etc. Pics of data plates would be ideal.

See below link for the current list of trucks.

Thanks,

Phil
