Heater, defroster, cab light were factory installed options. A pintle hood for towing was added shortly after purchase. Manual lockout hubs installed in 1968 and the vehicle was converted to 12 volt in 1968. Bed is a Morrison Carry-All from Morrison Steel Products, Buffalo, NY Model B910. Ordered though Dodge. |
Now brought back to almost new condition. See photo with trailer. This is on the original Route 66 located in Verdemont, CA just south of Cajon Pass in San Bernardino County, CA. Roadway is 18' wide. Vehicle was a reported stolen vehicle to California Highway Patrol. Vehicle was recovered 5/8/16. Vehicle was missing for 13 years. FFPW is now drivable and roadworthy. Color scheme is as it came from factory. It's been fun and I learned a lot about FFPW's this time. Had a custom 38 gallon gas tank made locally. Fits right in, had to add two more tank straps. Need to do more work but that will be done later. Trailer is a M105A2. Not quite right but it works! Vehicle was bought new by my father from a dealer in Orum, UT and was always in the family. It came from the factory with the service body and had all heavy duty springs and front shocks. I actually talked to the salesman in 1998 who sold the vehicle in 1954. He had just retired as the owner of the Dodge dealership. See latest photo. |
