This truck is no more. It has been completely parted out. It was purchased from a local limestone quarry in 1983 where it had been used as the blasting truck. The winch had been removed many years before, and in its place was welded three 8-inch steel channels stacked one above the other to make an 24 inch tall front bumper. To this was welded a large platform carrying a 55 gallon oil drum. This is where the individual took cover when setting off the dynamite charge. The truck was covered with large dents caused by the flying rocks. After removal of inches of solidified lime, a major part of the trucks frame and lower body panels were found to be rusted completely away. 4.89:1 differentials were salvaged from this truck and are still being used to this day in my '47 WDX. Also still in use, are the internals from its transfer case which had apparently been rebuilt shortly before the sale.
