The build card provided by the DaimlerChrysler Historial Collection indicates this truck came from the Detroit factory June 28th, 1946 with the following options: tow hooks, oil filter, the heavy duty air cleaner, pintle hook, and with only one windshield wiper. The '48 dated coded winch along with the rear shocks were added at a later date. All these items are currently on the truck. The engine and cab are original to the truck as verified in the build card. The carburetor is also the original Square Top.

The truck was originally shipped to Brooklyn, NY and now resides in Northern California by way of Oregon and somewhere in the midwest. The previous owner indicated that this truck may have been used for golf course maintenance. It may also have done some plowing as the frame has snow plow mounts.
The bed has some heavy rust damage in the stake pockets. The frame is pitted, painted, and now shows some minor rust too. There is other light rust through out the truck which I am working on cleaning up.
Mileage can't be verified as the speedo stopped working at 10,799 miles. But it looks to be a low mileage truck by the condition of the interior, steering wheel, knobs, foot pedals, engine, etc. The interior of the cab still shows its original green paint. The exterior has been repainted.
