Fuel tank float access plate - proximity to skid strip.

Access cover is located very close to the skid strip to the driver's side. Original wood, skid strips, and fuel tank access cover were protected on this truck under a sheet of steel. Some of the original black paint can still be seen remaining.

Note that the access plate simply sits on top of the wood. No pocket was cut in the wood for it to sit flush.
