I know Studebaker made M35-series 6X6s for a while because I have a 1962 unit. I thought Continental made the big old straight six gas engines, but perhaps Studebaker did as well. If it has the double-reduction Rockwell axles (pumpkins turned sideways), it may well be one of the M35-variants. They made lots of versions (cargo, semi-tractor, pole-setting, shop van, missile carrier, dump, yard crane, tankerm etc) and people converted them to even more different things. Anyway, if that's what it is, they are good solid trucks and parts are still very available.
