I found a 61 D200 w/slt-6 & 4spd trany, that had the drivers side cab and door crushed (by a tree) "enough" to where the door won't open to read the vin.plate. After opening the hood I realised it must have been a government vehicle once due to the military looking green paint which was also inside the cab.
Question(s): What was the most common or probible type of tranny used in D200 trucks?
I suspect the NP420 in 1961 ? Would anyone be interested in or in need of cab, door,or drivetrain parts ? I want the 8' stepside bed and could use the possible NP420 with the longer pilot shaft & universal belhousing for use with a 318 conversion one day, but I don't have to have it and I suspect the slt-6 is a #3 premium eng.
If your interested in any parts please e-mail me so I can decide whether to try to buy the whole truck for a better deal.
P.S. The whole drivetrain is intact but I don't know as to the condition of the eng.,tranny, or rearend. I believe it was running before the tree fell on it?
