The only item in the transfer that could cause this would be to break the rear output shaft or strip the splines on the rear output yoke. Seems more likely to be in the rear axle, maybe axle shaft, maybe gears. I'd put it back in 2wd at the transfer case, have somebody watch the rear drive shaft from a safe distance, and let the clutch out a bit with the truck stationary. If the rear drive shaft turns, its the axel, if it doesn't it's the transfer. Rob
