"big" truck insurance question

i apolagize in that this is not necissarily a PW question, but i'm looking for insurance advice. my current insurer tells me that because of the size of truck that my '49 two ton has to be insured as a comercial vehicle, and they are raising $$$ from $75 a half ( already too much) to $250 a half ( bit steep for a truck that sees less than 2000 miles a year!. Hagerty will not insure because i actualy haul fire wood and home imrovement materials with the thing on occasion.

any advice???
