Had to pull the motor on my daily driver today and had a nice surprise. Truck has 171,000 miles on the motor and I've given it oil changes every 5000 miles. My rear main seal was driping, okay leaking, and that was the reason I pulled it. When I took the pan off there abusolutly no sludge or chunks in the bottom of the pan! Kinda brown but one paper towel to clean it out. I've always worked on others vehicles and had lots of sludge so I guess CONSISTANT oil changes DO make a difference. Just thought it was interesting, Kevin
