Was convinced my NAPA electric fuel pump had gone kaflooey again, but determined it was something electrical. Worried it could be something loose inside the starter, so called VPW to check prices (and logic)
Key in, ignition on, pump running. Engage starter - BOOF - Dead as can be, pump shuts off, nothing.
Remove positive and negative cables from battery and replace them on battery (did this while examining starter). BINGO ! everything works again.
Engage starter button with screwdriver rather than foot pedal - BOOF - again, no juice, everything shuts off.
Steve wasn't sure, so he called Mike Fleig and we conference called. Mike said check the ground cable first. Took it off and used a jumper cable - BINGO ! everything works.
So instead of $275.00 I spent $20.00 at Carquest, and I'm rolling again.
THANK YOU MIKE & VPW!
