Install a torque cam - takes less throttle at same engine rpm, but you will lose high rpms.
If you have a four barrel, go to a two barrel

Best is a computerized fuel injection system. After markets are available. This and a torque cam would be good option
Go to a shop that specializes in performance. They are an excellent source for the products that are available. Compare the cost of upgrading verses the cost of gas over the time you expect to keep the truck before you buy.
