We all have our opinions and I am sure they will be expressed. After some considerable thought, I came up with this:
Weighing in at only 480 lbs but having a payload of over half a ton, 13" of ground clearance, 6' tread width, 10' long, 7.5' wheelbase, piano wire/mesh with titanium cleats 32" tires, 4 1/4 hp electric motors (so true 4 wheel drive)powered by 2 36 volt batteries, and four wheel steer. Max speed of a blazing 8 mph but this vehicle could operate in 273 degrees F down to -279 degrees. This bad boy hinges in 3 places and folds into a space of only 30 cubic feet. Built by the Boeing Corporation, the lunar rover has my vote.
What do you think?
