If you want to sell a flat fender to a newbie, call it a PW. Or Power Wagon. It's definitive. A 62 Power Wagon is a WM-300.
If you want to sell them a W-300, you have more explaining to do. I think W-300 is the right way to do this, rather than PW. It's at least non-ambiguous. If you want, you could say "62 W-300 Power Wagon", and point out in the text that it's a second-generation Power Wagon. Better yet, a picture :-)
The problem with "FF" is that nobody knows what it is until somebody explains it to them. I've seen at least 3 postings in the last few months asking "what's a FF?" I had the same question for a while when I was reading this forum. I assumed it was something like a WC; a model that I didn't have. I was VERY SURPRISED to learn that the WM-300 that I owned was actually also a FF. There are no other terms in use here that are "synonyms" like that. What's worse, "FF" is a class of vehicle, not a specific model number. It's okay as a casual nickname, but it's not a good term to identify a vehicle to newbies.
