I posted a msg after I bought my 2003 car - I mean truck - or what ever it is. My 2003 Dodge is a joke of a truck (read on please). My 1999 had a better field of vision, a solid front axle, I didn't hit my head when getting in - it had a better looking dash board, etc.
I'm not going to go on and on about it. But they turned my truck into a car - they succeeded at that if thats what they were trying to do. Still bought it though because... it has 4 wheel antilocks, 4 doors, room for family, towing power to spare, big 360, modern conviences.
Must admit though - driving my old 1979 - I knew I was in a truck - wind noise, bouncing around, an engine I could work on, etc..
WIth its hyroformed frame - it is stronger - with the independant front suspension - it handles better - it is all around a kick butt vehicle - and that's why I bought it.
However - by my old definition - it is not a truck. How about those idiots on commercials pulling out stumps? I dont think so - that would destroy the car - or truck or whatever it is. Use a PW and winch.
This I believe is the reason why so many take the PWs and convert them to modern vehicles with bigger engines, PS, Disk brakes etc. They want a truck with the modern upgrades - If I could buy a PW new - I would. For now I have to settle for a Ram and an old PW.
