WC1 driveline question

I am trying to avoid driving the hour to take a look at my truck, which is being re-assembled for the first time in four years. What type of connection is there between the Transmission and the transfer case??? are they connected by a simple u-joint, direct connect or is it that I missing the drive line between the two???? any help.
