Does anybody have a clever idea to fix a stripped-out hole in the bottom of my carter WA-1 carb? The hole for the plug that covers the bottom end of the fuel outlet tube is stripped. This is not a tapered pipe plug. The plug has a straight thread, a flat head, and a gasket under it. The only ideas I can think of are epoxy (might not hold up to the gas for long), hammer in a soft aluminum plug (will probably leak), tap it for a 1/8 IP pipe plug (brutal and might not be enough metal for it). I don't want it coming out or leaking because if it does, it will spew gas directly onto the exhaust manifold. Surely somebody has a better fix.
