Yes, it was me that was silly enough to haul my '49 on a U-Haul trailer. It barely fit and I had to have help removing the seat of my 3/4 ton Suburban from rear when it was over (the pucker factor was high). Only went ~25 miles and any speed over 45 was a no no. I wouldn't do it again. I think a dolly would be worse.
