Todd mentioned Ryder. Just an FYI, but I tried to rent a tow dolly back in the fall from Ryder and was told that they didn't rent dollies or trailers without renting the trucks to pull them with, also. The guy said it was a Ryder policy.
Don't know if he was blowing smoke and trying to get more $$$ from me, but I ended up renting a U-Haul tow dolly from a different place.
This was to bring an MGB roadster that had been sitting for a while home about 60 miles, and had the rental place had a trailer available, I'd have rented that instead even for the little roadster. It was not fun lying in the mud in the rain under that little thing dropping the driveshaft so I wouldn't burn up the gears in the swapped-in auto. OK, it really was pretty fun.
I towed the MGB home without incident, but I worried about the condition of those dry-rotted rear tires the whole way.
I'll add my voice to the ones saying,"Use an appropriate trailer."
Congratulations on the purchase, and good luck getting it home safely.
