Question: Will the 7:50-16 tire work on an M37 rim?

I recently bought a 1941 wc-12, and on this truck came (4) old 9:00-16 tires and M-37 rims.

I also got 2 original WC-12 rims with the deal.
After having the 9:00-16 tires dismounted from the M37 rims, I noticed that there is a bit of a difference between the M-37 and WC rims. More than I would have thought.

I would like to know if anyone has ever tried mounting 7:50-16 NDT's on the M37 rim, made for the 9:00-16 tire.

If this isnt advisable, I would like to sell the M-37 rims, or trade for some 1/2 ton WC rims outright.
