Cliff...Yes get the whole "kit" with the marine clean and the metal prep and use it before you use the POR-15. I have skipped those processes with no problems after having the frame etc sandblasted with no problems. The marine clean works real well for dirt and grime/grease. I use it in my parts washer diluted a bit. Wear gloves when using that stuff!!! Wear gloves when using the POR-15 unless you want black hands for 10+ days hahaha once it dries on the hands its there.
PS...I also use the low gloss black on our 57 & 58 chrysler rims after a good sandblasting. Holds up better than powder coating or a regular automotive black paint.
