Bob,
I'ld be interested in what you find out on this one. I am also putting a
Cummins into a WDX. (Mines a '47) From what I've been able to figure out so
far is, "Not with out adapters". Cabell Garbee has a ranger overdrive that
is setup to mate with the Chevy bell housing and the NP420. (I think.)
SM465's were used in quite a few Chevy trucks and are available for around
$450.00 in Colorado. (I've only called one junk yard so far, but I gotten
stuff from them before and they are about average for prices.)
