There aren't very many of these left. Before you decide to forever alter the original configuration, you must consider that it will probably be worth far less than when you started.
There was an article in "Street Trucks" magazine a few months back covering atering a 59 TownWagon to make a street rod. They called it "double ugly". I have since cancelled my subscribtion so I don't know how it turned out. Just made me kinda sad.
If its that bad off, why not just part it out? Just my two cents.
