Mabey 25 years ago, I put a heater in series with the cab heater in the back of a pickup I had. It had firebird seats, boot connector between the cab and the cap, a little tv for the kids. It was real nice but never worked out with heat. The problem was no insulation. It threw a lot of heat, but the cold steel just sucked it up.
I am planning a heater in the back of my Carryall. But before putting the interior sheet metal in place, I insulated all steel with blue board foam glued in place and also spray foam. This time it should work well.
The bonus its also a sound deadner makes hiting on the body a thump and a clang. Be sure to run your water lines also in insulated jackets.
