I have tried the 18V Dewalt cordless Sawzall, and it worked great for my needs.
I am going to buy the Milwaukee though, as then I can use the same batteries for both the impact and the Sawzall. This is VERY important when one is in the wilds of a junkyard!
I also wish Dewalt would sell the Cordless Sawzall by itself in local stores. I would have to buy online to get just the saw, or buy a kit localy, and I do not need any of the stuff you get in the kit.
I remember the 90s cordless Milwaukee drills not holding up to my Dewalt drill, but that may not be true any more.
I do not care as much where something is made as I do about how it works, if it is a good product I will buy from almost anyone.
I bought a lot of European tools when I built furniture, they just had the best quality stuff.
But like I said, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and use their money to vote for what they like.
I just wish I had more options in the cordless impact market, I need something between the 9 lbs, 240 ft/lbs Milwaukee, and the 14.4 volt 130 ft/lbs Dewalt.
