I just finished replacing the transmission in my B3-PW with one from a '65 WM300. It was probably worth it only in that it was a newer transmission with new seals. Don't forget that the Transmission cover and the passenger side floor panel will not fit the new transmission and you'll need a new PTO and PTO shift lever. I didn't notice a big difference in the throw except in first gear the shift leafier hits close to the dash and interferes with the knob on my snow plow control unit.
I'm not quite done with replacing everything yet so there may be other conflicts
