WC and PW Cab Floor Help.

I assume that the general construction of the WC 3/4 ton and the PW floors are similar. I'm wondering if anyone out there makes the pieces that are under the removable foot plates, what I would call the toe and heel areas. Or does everyone get some steel and weld away. This is for my open cab WC and both sides need to be replaced...I would guess that I'm not alone with this condition, so I would appreciate anyones comment/suggestion.
