Flat Bed Steel Question for sides

That Nice looking Flat Bed PW that was just put on is that a Original bed? The steel used on the sides of it has a design to it. It is rounded and has ribs, can you buy that kind of steel? Another thing since the frames can flex a lot is it better to bolt the flat bed frame together instead of welding the sides? I was going to bolt it to the frame but was wondering about the flexing problem. Any help or suggestions on this matter or is it realy a problem? Thanks, Mark H.
