The trick is to use a CV joint at the output of the transfer case and rotate the axle housing so the driveshaft and pinion gear axis are on exactly the same planes (coincident). Only this will not work here. You would have to not only rotate the axle housing on the spring pads to get the pinion flange higher and inline with the drveshaft, but also pivot the axle housing off to the side so the pinion axis aims over to the drivers side of the truck. Serious dog tracking would result. Though it may work good for some obstacles at Moab.
