steering wheel trouble

I am trying to pull the wheel on my B-3 as part of the restoration process (cab removal, etc).
It is stuck tight and I do not want to bugger it. I tried the trick of backing the nut to just above the shaft and my son shocking it with a hammer while I pulled, to no avail.
Is there an old fashioned puller for these, if so where to get it? Any other ideas? Thanks
