Uncle Josef (used to be "Sam") tells the manufacturer what safety features to put in and mileage and emmission standards but the manufacturer chooses the soggy, boulevard ride, sway bars that limit suspension flex, the plastic, tear-off inside handles, no vent wings, coils instead of leaf springs, relay-controlled everything, no locking hubs, etc. They are responding to the SUV (Simply Usless Vehicle)/city slicker crowd's prissy and delicate tastes rather than building TRUCKS. That is what I have been ranting about for some time here. Whatever happened to Iron men with Iron trucks?
