Dave,
I have a set of the top frame mounts, but not the shackles. I've had them on a couple of different trucks, they dont make any noticeable difference in the ride to me. The best ridin' FFPW I ever rode in had a heavy steel flatbed and a Hobart 230 ci Ind motor driven welder mounted on it. It had a headache rack that went forward over the top of the cab, and a Gin Pole (sorry Mike, I meant "A"- Frame hoist) that folded back and stored on the headache rack. I bet that truck weighed out at 11,000 lbs!
