Hi,
Divorced means it has a short driveshaft between the transmission and the transfer case and they are mounted separately. Married means the transfer case is mounted to the transmission and there is a solid coupler that hooks the shafts together.
IIRC, '75&later Dodges should be married (early are 203, later 241 or 205), '74&Earlier should be divorced (205).
This is info off the top of my head and might be incorrect. Hope it helps
