My comments were not intended as a dig, I understand how life gets in the way, trust me!
I just thought we could all give some stories about the realistic costs, and time/tools/effort involved so others would feel better about their progress, and maybe get past that stumbling block that is holding them back!
I have an advantage over most folks, I have my fun putting a truck back on the road, and then I sell it, buy another nice, minimal rust, complete as possible truck, and fix that one up.
I have my "projects" that will never get done quickly, but those are the ones that I want to take apart to the last nut and bolt to get EXACTLY right.
Already I have seen posts from folks who shared the kind of info I was looking for, and a few have commented that adding up the costs takes more GUTS then they have!
I don't blame them, I added up the costs for my 58 W100, and I LOST almost $1,000 on it when I sold it, with nothing added in for tools, time, or anything other then parts, and outside labor.
It is a labor of love, and one I am glad so many people take on, as I love to see these old workhorses in all their glory!
Eric
