more than a head gasket

I finaly got around to trying to start a 54 FF I got last year. It had a blown head gasket between # 2,3 exhaust valves. The truck most have been used in this shape for a while as there was alot of carbon builed up
where the gasket was bad. when I removed the
carbon there where pits in the block. My question is. Is there any thing I can do other than having the block milled
