There is no useable ground water there. Lomita is near the coast in an old swamp area that is full of abandon oil wells and brackish sea water. NO contamination by oil based products is permanent, you can strip off the top layer and scarify it and in 60 days you will not get a test trace whatsoever. Look at the "disaster" in Alaska, the area has already recovered. Furthermore what happened to the over one thousand battleships, transports, crusisers, carriers etc that were sunk during WWII ??? They ALL carried hundreds of thousands of gallons of fuel and oil, most were sunk in the South Pacific, and near Midway and Hawaii, areas now considered paradise! We are all called to be responsible stewards of our environment, however most evironmental disaster scenarios disguised as 'science' are actually hysteria and bunk.
