Jeep Liberty diesel

I read that the Jeep Liberty will offer a diesel motor option, but I have heard no specifics on what diesel.

It seems to me that this diesel ought to be compact enough to retrofit into some of the older trucks. In years to come the Jeep might be a place to look for smaller diesels.
