I'm not familiar with the 241. Never messed with that older series motors. Chrysler dropped it in 41 and the trucks dropped it in 1940. Is it a long block as I assume?
According to my books the compression was low on the 241 head at 6.5 on both the truck and Chrysler. Compression went up to 6.8 in it's final two years with Chrysler. Over the 237 motor it would not be noticeable. However the 237 has it all over the 241 in both horse power (10hp) and torque (20) with a 1/4 inch less stroke.
Is this getting confusing yet?
