I basicly did the same thing with a 58 that came out of 51. They told me before they took the truck apart it ran. Well it would hand turn over but not all the way, I took the pan off and all looked good. I took the head off and there it was, a big fat mud dobber nest. At that point I saw the pistons and they were .60 over. So when I put the engine in the truck I added an inline oil pressure gage to see what true pressure the engine would have when running. It was great....55 psi and the engine perrred. Add a pressure gage as a precaution.
