This is the proceduer I have used on my PW's when they would not just tap out.
Get a LARGE robust C Clamp. You want at least a .500 to .750 screw in the clamp. Also get a .500 nut.
Set the nut on the TOP of the pin where the head is. Be sure the hole in the nut is centered over the head. Then put the large C Clamp with the stationary jaw on the bottom of the pin and the adjustable end of the C Clamp on top of the .500 nut. CRANK up the C Clamp. You might even need a little cheater bar on the clamp handle. This pushes the hinge pin up about .250". Once it moves it will then tep out.
I used this method on Sunday to remove the pins from my Carryall doors. Even with this method, I had to use some heat. But they cam out and did not mushroom the bottom of the pin. If you look at Eastwood's hinge pusher, its almost the same thing except for some big bucks.
