So this brings me to this question...what does a guy do when he needs a new truck..reward Ford for the excellent truck that I got from them, or turn my back on them over rummors I've heard & buy a Dodge when there are just as many disgruntled new Dodge owners out there as Ford?
I haven't talked to anyone with the brand new Dodge, as grand as it sounds, but all indications are that the 24v cummins of the previous models is no better...if not considerably more trouble than the Ford?
Believe me, I love my vintage Dodge trucks but I think the day of the simple trouble free vehicle is over. It appears that we are in a new age where emmissions & fuel economy drive these manufacturers to build machines that rival the space shuttle with their electronics. I think these are all factors that attracted me to the Flat Fenders...simple, strong, dependable.
I have no interest in Ford & no other reason to speak on their behalf other than my satisfaction in their product.
I owned a Ford before this one that I traded at 100K that was the same...I'd never had a warranty claim of any kind & never changed anything other than oil....what can I say...maybe they send all the good Fords to us Canadians because they feel sorry for our dollar!
